24 Sep 13 Crisis: Greece; state workers, teachers continue strikes -- (ANSAmed) - ATHENS - Another difficult week for the Greek government kicked off on Monday as a new wave of strikes is scheduled in the next few days against austerity measures involving the public administration. Adedy, one of Greece's two largest unions representing public employees, has called a 48-hour strike on Tuesday and Wednesday, September 24-25. Moreover, Adedy and representatives of Gsee, Greece's other top union representing private sector workers, are trying to turn tomorrow's protest into a general strike with a joint demonstration scheduled in Klathmonos square in downtown Athens.
