Join the fight back against the union-busting aggression of the market leading NXP Semiconductors. The company’s illegal retaliation to their Philippine employees organizing and peacefully supporting the collective bargaining process was to sack all 24 union officers on 5 May. Among the dismissed by NXP Semiconductors in Cabuyao, Laguna is the president of the national metalworkers union MWAP, Brother Reden Alcantara. Management and government are colluding to bust the union, one of the few that successfully organizes workers in the country’s Free Trade Zones. The MWAP, IndustriALL Global Union and LabourStart jointly call on supporters to write to the NXP management and Philippine government authorities and urge NXP to:

Reinstate the 24 union officials; Immediately resume CBA negotiations; Regularize contractual employees; and Respect workers’ rights.
