Labour Minister Carlos Tomada suggested unions “to avoid talking that much about collective bargains”, but also assured that “there are enormous coincidences between the government and the CGT Labour Confederation.”

Thus, the official downplayed the late fuzz generated around 2012 collective bargains and recommended unions to avoid talking about them as “we still have four months ahead before negotiations start.”

“I don’t know why there are so many talks over collective bargains. We shouldn’t put so much voltage around the topic, plus there is a long way until they (collective bargains) start.”

Likewise, the minister emphasized “The government is confident that both employers and unionist will sort out all possible salary negotiations in a responsible way.”

Furthermore, Tomada praised the relationship between unions and the national government besides the current cross-fire with the CGT Labour Confederation led by Hugo Moyano.

“It is reasonable to have differences and discrepancies with the CGT, but we also share many standing points, and I’m sure all matters will be discussed normally without surprises.”
