New BWI Regional Representative for Latin America and Caribbean

The BWI officially announces the appointment of Nilton Freitas as the new Regional Representative for Latin America & Caribbean. Nilton will help the BWI in reaching its strategic priorities including the defense of human and labour rights and strengthening the union movement in the region.

Nilton Freitas is a Brazilian national who has worked for the Brazilian labour movement as well as the Latin America labour movement for over 15 years, during which time he acquired a solid experience in fields like health and safety, workers education, collective bargaining, promoting International Labour Standards with multinational companies.

Nilton will visit affiliates and fraternal organizations in the coming months.
