According to reports, union leaders agreed not to call for action until their complaint is heard by an appeals court.

The Bahamas announced this month that it had agreed to sell 51% of the phone company to London-based Cable & Wireless Communications for $210 million. The government would initially receive $15 million in cash upon closing.

The Bahamas Telecommunications Company is the sole mobile operator in the islands, serving 392,000 customers.
