Kohima, Mar 9 (PTI) Classes in all the three campuses of the Nagaland University were today affected as the teachers went on an indefinite strike demanding immediate revocation of suspension of three senior teachers.

The teachers did not take the classes after the Nagaland University Teachers' Association (NUTA) yesterday decided to go for an academic closure of all departments in the varsity from today.

NUTA president Rosemary Dzuvichu told PTI that the teachers were forced to resort to agitation since the Vice-Chancellor failed to convene an emergency executive council (EC) meeting to revoke the suspension of three NUTA leaders, including herself.

NUTA today submitted a representation to ADC (Judicial) demanding follow-up action on the FIRs filed listing specific corruption charges against the university authorities by the teachers in January.
