Mission Australia Employment Solutions Enterprise Agreement negotiations have concluded in the successful vote counted Friday 26 February 2010.

What happens next?

The ASU is waiting for formal confirmation from Mission Australia and the company conducting the election of the final results of the ballot.

Once this has been received, Mission Australia will complete the necessary documentation to formalise the agreement. The agreement will be signed by the ASU and Mission Australia. It will then be lodged with Fair work Australia for approval.

Once Fair Work Australia has approved the agreement it will then be in force until it's nominal expiry date on the 30 June 2012.

Your ASU Delegates & Bargaining Representatives

Your ASU Delegates and your Bargaining Representatives have done an amazing job in the negotiations of your agreement.

These negotiations have been a first for the employment division of Mission Australia and for many that has meant a steep learning curve.

These negotiations have been tough, at times rocky and throughout your Delegates and Representatives have remained strong in their determination to deliver you the best agreement possible. Mission Australia decided to put the agreement out to vote before we could achieve that result at the bargaining table.

Your Delegates and Representatives were disappointed by that but now is the time to accept the Agreement and look to the implementation of the new wages and performance management systems.

The Agreement at work

The commencement of the Agreement will be from approval by Fair Work Australia.

Mission Australia have committed to payment of your first wage adjustment on the first pay period following the conclusion of the successful vote.

Any further movement in your new classification will then be based on performance.
