Labour Minister Carlos Tomada asked the Kraft Foods Company to "give news about the situation" that employees have complained about, referring to the firing of 8 of the 53 suspended employees, and added that "they are not coming through on their part" of the signed agreement if they do not speak about the crisis.

"The Kraft delegates were seen this morning, and they have told us that eight employees have been fired, out of the 53 that were suspended. We believe that that may imply the possibility that the company is not coming through on their part" of the agreement reached here at the Ministry, which is why "we have asked the company to inform us about the situation," said Tomada during dialogue with the press.

In that sense, he also added that the Ministry would "call on the company and on its employees to find a solution to this, so that everything can go back to normal as was previously agreed."

Tomada also asked the Labour Ministry of Buenos Aires Province to "intervene" in the situation, considering that the crisis is in their realm of expertise.

Earlier, delegates from the internal commission of the ex Terrabusi plan, led by Javier Hermosilla, went to the labour headquarters in order to denounce the firings and announced that they would once again meet with authorities from the Labour Ministry to discuss the issue.

The representatives are asking Kraft leaders to come through on what they agreed to on October 16, when they promised to look into each of the 53 suspensions individually and not fire any other employees.

"The company has broken the peace, we are not the ones destabilizing the situation; we want to go back to our jobs," said Hermosilla.
