Thailand: a nightmare for migrtant workers

It was sickening to read yet another article about the horrific conditions of Burmese migrant workers. One Burmese worker said he had worked on a Thai fishing boat for ten years without pay and that those who refused to work were thrown overboard. And female workers complained about being forced into prostitution.

It's the same old stories and I'm sick and tired of reading about them. International human rights groups need to shine the light on Thailand and shame this country before the eyes of the civilised world. For it is obvious that some Thais who have the nerve to call themselves Buddhists will not solve this problem by themselves.
