The Metropolitan Waterworks Authority (MWA) labour union chairman Somchai Srinives denied as groundless the claim that it would join the red-shirts rally to pressure for a House dissolution.

“Our unions was used as a tool to pressure the government. It is not possible that we would join the anti-government demonstration led by the United front for Democracy against Dictatorship”, Mr Somchai said on Friday morning.

He stressed that his union will not join any protest that causes hardships to the people and damages the country’s socio-economy.

UDD core leader Veera Musikapong had said at Phan Fa bridge main rally stage on Thursday that the MWA labour union had agreed to join force with the red-shirts in calling for the dissolution of the House of Representatives.
