LAST YEAR'S event drew more than 100,000 job seekers.

The Labour Ministry's annual job fair, to be held on March |19 and 20 at Siam Paragon's Royal Paragon Hall, will have more than 10,000 vacancies on offer.

More than 100 companies will be participating in the |event, which the Employment Department says is taking place under improved economic conditions.

The department, working under the "Build Career, |Build Income under Strong Thailand" campaign, be-|lieves there will be more |jobs available this year in the industrial and services sectors.

Job seekers can obtain more details of the event on www.doe.go.th or www.nationejobs.com, and are expected to bring their resume, in MS Word or PDF with a photograph, in a |CD or flash drive.

The 2010 Job Fair, running from 10.30am to 6pm, will include the following:

lApplicants' registration for the vacancies offered with the participating companies (applicants may be interviewed, so everyone is advised to dress appropriately);

lCareer tests on selected jobs and analysis of job suita-bility;

lEnglish-language proficiency e-tests provided by a well-known language institute that can be used to back up applications;

lPilot sampling of more than 30 self-employment opportunities;

lTraining for main or supplementary jobs;

lCareer consultancy ser-vices.

The Employment Depart-ment is also providing |opportunities for disabled |people.
