Deputy Finance Minister Pradit Pataraprasit sees necessity to dissolve disagreements on the State Railway of Thailand's restructuring within this month.

He said it is necessary to speed up the restructuring particularly that involving the Airport Rail Link which has been delayed for some time as the SRT management has to spend a great deal of time negotiating with the labour union.

He noted that the state enterprise policy supervisory committee insisted that it is necessary for the restructuring, in preparation for the government's promise to invest Bt200 billion into the SRT in the next five years to increase its efficiency.
